The Federal Trade Commission (Commission) has filed a lawsuit against Goldman Schwartz Inc, d/b/a Goldman, Schwartz, Lieberman & Stein; Debtcom, Inc., d/b/a Cole, Tanner, & Wright; Harris County Check Recovery Inc.; The G. Wright Group Inc., d/b/a The Wright Group; Gerald Wright, a/k/a Barry Schwartz; Starlette Foster, a/k/a Star Foster; and Jennifer Zamora, alleging they have engaged in deceptive, abusive, and unfair collection practices reltating to their debt collection business. The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas has issued a Temporary Restraining Order prohibiting the alleged acts and practices.
